Steve Sweeney never went to college. Instead, he built a career as a union ironworker, working with his hands to support his family. When his daughter Lauren was born with Down syndrome, he ran for office to fight for those without a voice. As Senate President, he spent years advocating for New Jersey’s working families and organized labor.
